The authorR. Jawaharis a journalist. Earlier he was a fulltime cadre of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) in the trade union field in the 1970s in Chennai – Ambattur. He was imprisoned many times including in the Emergency period for leading or participating in the working class struggles. He has written a few books including Communism: Nartru, Indru, Naalai.
